About the event
Join Herd of Turtles for a festive fall afternoon filled with music, rhythm, friendship, and fun!
Volunteers will sing familiar songs, play hand percussion instruments, encourage resident participation, and spend time creating meaningful connections with older adults in our community.
Our interactive events are designed to create moments of happiness and belonging, particularly for veterans and individuals living with dementia. A familiar song can bring back a treasured memory, inspire a smile, or help someone feel like themselves again.
No special musical training is required. Volunteers can contribute by singing, clapping, playing instruments, talking with residents, or helping someone else participate.
Please arrive approximately 30 minutes before the program for check-in, setup, and instructions.
Herd of Turtles shirts are encouraged for volunteers who have them.
