About the event
Herd of Turtles is excited to welcome volunteers for a very special morning of music, connection, and community—featuring coverage by WPXI News!
Our volunteers will sing familiar songs, play hand percussion instruments, visit with residents, and help create moments of joy for older adults, veterans, and individuals living with dementia.
WPXI will be joining us to highlight the work of Herd of Turtles and the powerful role music and community can play in reducing loneliness and helping people reconnect with treasured memories.
No professional musical experience is required. Volunteers simply need to be enthusiastic, respectful, and ready to participate.
Because this event will receive media coverage, volunteers may appear in photographs or video footage. Additional media information and any required release details will be shared with registered participants.
Volunteers should arrive by 9:30am for check-in, event instructions, and preparation before the 10:00 AM program.
